Papa John’s, Really?

In case you missed the cancel notification, Papa John’s founder, John Schnatter, first blamed Black athletes for his company’s fluttering sales last year then, this week, decided it was acceptable to use the n-word in a company business conversation. While he may have resigned as CEO, then resigned as chairman, we still don’t need to support the pockets of a man who makes it clear that he is, at best, woefully ignorant of the Black community.

So, while we know you didn’t need another reason to #BuyBlack, we’re giving you 10 more anyway. Here’s 10 Black-owned pizzerias around the country. Support those that don’t just tolerate you, but enjoy, represent, and love you. Enjoy the article and when you’re done, drop any other Black-owned pizza joints in the comments below!
